SRI RANGA NAACHIYAAR SANCTUM
From Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Sanctum, take right. Once can find a 4 pillared mandapam on the left, and mettazhagiya singar sanctum on the right. Proceed straight and on the left, one can find Sri Ranga Naachiyaar Sanctum. While entering this sanctum, we can find a lot of people selling flowers, vilvam leaves for pooja, and other pooja stuffs. On the right, we can find an aasthaanam mandapam, this is the place where Sri Namperumal stays when he visits Sri Ranga Naachiyaar Sanctum.
Sri Ranga Naachiyaar is also known as Periya Piraatti. There is a mangala shloka for Sri Ranga Naachiyaar,
Namaha Sriranganaayakyai Yatbhro Vibrama Bhedataha
Icchechi dvaya vaishamya nimnonatham idam jagath
நமஹ ஸ்ரீரங்கநாயகியை யத்பரோ விப்ரம பேததஹ |
இச்ச்சேச்சி த்வய வைஷம்ய நிமனோதம் இதம் ஜகத் ||
नम: श्रीरङ्गनायक्यै यत्ब्रो विभ्रम भेदत: |
इच्छेचि द्वय वैषम्य निम्नोतं इदं जगत् ||
I worship sri ranganaachiyaar whose eyebrow movements (her desire and reaction revealed through that) determines the fate of jeevaathmaas (whether one is rich or poor, learned or illiterate, etc).
